Market Snapshot

Crypto opened the week with a narrow advance, as Bitcoin held above the low-$60,000 area, Ethereum moved back toward the $1,900 zone, and XRP stayed close to the $1.00 level. The price action looked cautious rather than aggressive, with ETF activity sending mixed signals across the three assets.

Recent flow data shows that Bitcoin ETFs posted fresh outflows of $131.1 million on 13 August 2026, while Ethereum ETFs added $6.72 million and XRP ETFs attracted $2.25 million the same day. A separate update for 12 August showed Bitcoin outflows of $61.16 million, Ethereum inflows of $7.38 million, and flat XRP activity.

ETF Flows Tell a Split Story

Bitcoin was the weakest link in the latest session, with spot ETF demand turning negative again after earlier strength this month. Even so, the broader backdrop remains constructive, since Bitcoin spot funds had still logged $854 million in net inflows over the week of 3 to 7 August.

  • Bitcoin spot ETFs: -$131.1 million on 13 August 2026
  • Ethereum spot ETFs: +$6.72 million to +$7.38 million on recent sessions
  • XRP spot ETFs: +$2.25 million, extending positive interest

Ethereum’s latest inflow marked continued support from investors, even after the pace cooled from earlier in the month. XRP also held its ground as one of the few products still drawing money, which helped it stand out against the softer tone in Bitcoin funds.

Price Levels Traders Are Watching

Bitcoin is still trading under a cluster of key moving averages, which keeps the near-term tone under pressure. The latest technical readings place BTC below the 50-day EMA near $64,317, the 100-day EMA near $66,393, and the 200-day EMA near $72,390. Momentum indicators also remain cautious, with RSI near 46 and MACD below zero.

That leaves a tight map for traders:

  • Resistance begins near $64,317, then $64,850, and later $66,393
  • Support sits first around $61,291, with deeper weakness possible if that level fails
  • A daily close above the $64,317 to $64,850 area would improve the short-term structure

Ethereum looks steadier. ETH has been trading around $1,894, above its 50-day EMA near $1,868 and its SuperTrend support near $1,769, but still below the 100-day EMA at $1,918 and the 200-day EMA at $2,108. RSI near 53 suggests a balanced setup, although the negative MACD warns that upside momentum is not fully confirmed.

XRP remains the most fragile of the three from a chart perspective. Price has been hovering around $1.00, below the 50-day EMA at $1.08, the 100-day EMA at $1.16, and the 200-day EMA at $1.35, while RSI near 37 and a negative MACD point to lingering downside pressure.

What This Means Going Forward

The main takeaway is simple: flows and prices are not moving in lockstep. Bitcoin is still the market leader, but its ETF demand has softened again. Ethereum is holding a more stable base, and XRP continues to pull in money even though its price action has not yet confirmed a stronger breakout.

For now, the market looks more like a pause than a trend reversal. Bitcoin needs to reclaim nearby resistance to shift sentiment, Ethereum needs a clean close above $1,918 to reopen upside targets, and XRP must first clear $1.01 before traders can start treating parity as a launch point rather than a ceiling.
